Opus has acquired U.S. vehicle inspection company Gordon-Darby

Opus has acquired U.S. vehicle inspection and technology company Gordon-Darby, expanding our footprint in three states and increasing the range of testing products and software we offer.

Founded in 1982, Gordon-Darby has built a strong reputation for quality in the development, implementation, and operation of vehicle inspection and licensing programs. The company operates a major centralized vehicle inspection program in Arizona and a decentralized program in New Hampshire. It is the vehicle inspection database contractor for Texas, and also provides technology and support services for all fish and game licensing in the state.

Gordon-Darby has pioneered many vehicle inspection systems and processes that have become standard in the U.S. The company will continue to operate under its existing name, with the same management team and staff.

“We are delighted that Gordon-Darby is joining forces with Opus,” said Opus Group CEO, Lothar Geilen. “The move increases our footprint in the U.S., while offering management and technology synergies to benefit our customers worldwide.”

The President of Gordon-Darby, Bob Tefft, said: “The Gordon-Darby management and I are excited to join Opus. With its strong financial position and international experience, the new owner will help Gordon-Darby address the future needs of our customers while we grow our business.”
