Vehicle Inspector in Sweden
Roger inspects cars, motorcycles and heavy trucks at a station in northern Sweden. He also trains new inspectors.
I studied car mechanics at our local college, and then worked as a mechanic for a Swedish manufacturer that made fast cars. I’ve been at Opus for more than 30 years now.
My skills and knowledge
As a trainer, you need a good understanding of complex technology. I teach new inspectors how to use our equipment and upgrade their knowledge when we launch state-of-the-art new products and services on our inspection stations.
People skills are key to both parts of my role. When I train our employees, I find it inspiring to watch them thrive and flourish as they gain new knowledge.
You also have to be good at talking to people as a vehicle inspector. Having direct contact with customers – and helping them – is the most fun part of my job.
- Opus has big ambitions: the company operates worldwide and is growing
- You will work for a market leader: we are one of the biggest (if not the biggest) vehicle inspection company in Sweden
- You will make a difference: we make roads safer and the air cleaner
My advice to potential employees
There's nothing wrong with hard work. We are doing something good for everyone on this planet. We need to think globally and work together. I believe we should all have the same goal: to make sure that our Earth is a healthy place to live.
