Opus opens two more stations in Chile

Opus has recently opened its tenth and eleventh inspection stations in Chile – one in Viña del Mar and one in Arica

April 30 saw Opus open a new vehicle inspection station in the resort city of Viña del Mar. The station has three lanes serving light-duty vehicles and is expected to inspect around 140 vehicles per day.

2,000 kilometres to the north, on May 28, Opus opened a station in the port city of Arica, where the company has a concession to design, build and operate two stations. The first station, serving light-duty vehicles opened on January 29, 2020. This second station, serving both heavy- and light-duty vehicles, is expected to serve 160 vehicles a day.

Both brand new stations opened with strict safety measures in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19 – including face masks and gloves for employees, social distancing, seat and steering wheel covers to protect customers’ vehicles, and at-least daily disinfection of all contact surfaces.

Alfredo R Granai, President of Vehicle Inspection Latin America said, ‘We are delighted to welcome customers to our newest stations in Chile. We continue to expand our services as we make vehicle inspection available to more customers.’
