Magnus Greko wins Founder of the Year award

Opus Vice-President and co-founder Magnus Greko has won one of Sweden’s most prestigious business awards – the Founder of the Year 2019.

He was chosen for his successful entrepreneurship in the vehicle inspection industry, having founded and built up a business that has shown strong growth and benefit to society.

Magnus accepted the award at the Entrepreneurs' Gala in Stockholm. He said: “I am very pleased with the award, mainly because it confirms that we have built a fine company in Opus. I want to share it with my two co-founders Jörgen Hentschel and Lothar Geilen, and our 2,600 employees.”

A company focused on the environment and people

The judges chose Magnus from a short-list of leading Swedish businesspeople. They said: “With incredible courage, an ability to see opportunities, and with a desire to change, the winner has created a company focused on the environment and people around the world. Through his drive and his innovative ability, he has great potential to continue to build the company and influence on a global level."

The Founder of the Year award aims to promote and inspire successful entrepreneurship by highlighting entrepreneurial role models. It is organized by the Founders Alliance, a collaboration forum for Sweden’s leading entrepreneurs. Find out more here: http://www.foundersalliance.com/about-founders-alliance/
