Opus opens new station in Arica, Chile

Opus has expanded its presence in Chile with the opening of a new vehicle inspection station in the northern province of Arica.

The newly-built state-of-the-art facility is the first of two Opus stations due to open in the province during the first quarter of 2020. It will increase testing speed and convenience for the drivers of Arica’s 85,000 private vehicles and four thousand public transport vehicles.

The new station was inaugurated by transport minister José Luiz Dominquez, who said: “Before, it was common to see long lines of cars waiting to go through the review process. Today, these new facilities provide a better service to citizens, which is faster and safer.”

Opus President, Vehicle Inspection Latin America, Alfredo R Granai added: “Opus is very proud to open the first of two stations in the province of Arica, adding to our growing network across Chile.”
